Did you know you are entitled to a pre-settlement inspection prior to settlement of your property in Queensland?
As the Buyer, this is your opportunity to make sure the property is in the same state and condition as at the date of the Contract and to check that all chattels that form part of the Contract are in working order.
It is also the time for you to check that any special conditions in relation to the state of the property which were to be met by the Sellers have been completed.
The best time to arrange your pre-settlement inspection is before the due settlement date, and this needs to be booked and arrange through your Real Estate Agent. Your Real Estate Agent will take you through the final inspection.
If there are any issues about the state of the property, please let us know as soon as possible as such so we can raise these matters with the Sellers Solicitors or Conveyancers on your behalf.
If you are uncertain what to look for in your pre-settlement inspection before the settlement date, then feel free to contact our office to discuss further.
